Dolphin Emulator
Dolphin emulator is a Nintendo GameCube designed for Windows. Its name is derived from the original code name for the GameCube "Dolphin".
Dolphin was the first Gamecube emulator to successfully run commercial games. It can run quite a few on a standard PC with a modern graphics card but the emulation is far from perfect. Sound emulation is not fully implemented, and is missing a lot of sound effects and music. Dolphin's team promises better performance in the near future. Dolphin is now able to use mouse/keyboard and joypad/joystick.
The latest version of Dolphin, the Gamecube emulator, has been released. Unfortunately, it's also the last release. No reason is given for the end of development. But a promise is made that the source will be unleashed — meaning some kind of work will continue. Somewhere, somehow. The dolphin emulator has gained a good rep for playing a decent number of games relatively well. For the latest, and last, release go to Dolphin Emulator.
